古诗词翻译成英文，会碰撞出怎样的火花，来一探究竟
说到汉译英，恐怕不少研究生，甚至大学生都略知一二，因为英语考试都会有一些有难度的汉译英题目。那么在古诗词翻译成英文方面，就不得不提翻译泰斗许渊冲先生了。许老从事文学翻译长达60余年，更是获得过“北极光”杰出文学翻译奖这一奖项。看看许老是如何将古诗词翻译成英文。
When did the moon first come on high?

大家能翻译出来这几段吗？中秋节可是刚过没多久，这首就是和月亮有关的，原文是李白的《把酒问月》青天有月来几时?我今停杯一问之。人攀明月不可得，月行却与人相随。
如果按照英文直译并加以润色的话，那就可以翻译为：高高的月亮第一次到来时是什么时候？质问天空能否喝酒。月亮对于人们来说高不可攀的，（但）无论何时它都会跟随着我们。简单翻译出来之后，就不难判断出这段英文是翻译自哪一首古诗词。
第二首：王翰《凉州词》
葡萄美酒夜光杯，欲饮琵琶马上催
醉卧沙场君莫笑，古来征战几人回!
With wine of the cups of jade would glow at night， to pipa songs.
We are to fight.Don’t laugh if we lay on the -!How many sever came back safe and sound?
第三首：杜牧《清明》
清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂。
借问酒家何处有，牧童遥指杏花村。
A rain falls like tears on the Day，
The ’s heart is going to break on his way.
Where can a wine shop be found to drown his sad hours?

再来一些简单的句子：情不知所起，一往而深。--汤显祖《牡丹亭》
许译：Love once begun, will never end.
两情若是久长时，又岂在朝朝暮暮!--秦观《鹊桥仙》

最后来一篇词：
明月几时有？把酒问青天。不知天上宫阙、今夕是何年？

可以看出，古诗文翻译成英文还是有着一定的技巧的，最好的办法莫过于先把古诗词翻译为现代汉语，再进行英文翻译。大家不妨多试着把古诗词翻译成英文来提高自己的汉译英能力和英语水平。
